The LEO Organization has made
great strides in recent years and your board of directors has even
greater ambitions for the years ahead. We are currently trying to find
our first office space and hire our first staff.
We hope to continue to build on our
current educational and recreational programs. In order to fulfill these
ambitions we are adding board members with specific skills and creating
a long range financial plan for LEO. Your support will be more important
than ever. There are many important ways you can help make these
ambitions become reality.

research project on health and wellness.
Are you looking for ideas about how to get your child to eat vegetables?
Are you looking for the chance to find out how other families are able
to encourage healthier behaviors for their children with disabilities?
The Family Matters Project, funded by the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention, is developing ideas and materials to make your job
easier. Please

Charitable Contributions
Many of you make charitable contributions every year. Please think of us
as a priority. We work to directly benefit the developmentally disabled
population of the greater Issaquah area. You may direct your United Way
contributions to us or write a personal check. Also, you may wish to
contribute appreciated stock and avoid paying taxes on the gain while
receiving a deduction for the full market value of the stock.
There are many sophisticated strategies that we can
discuss if you would like to support our efforts. I would be happy to
discuss ideas that would be appropriate for your situation. Please call
me, board member Michael Ernst, at 425-453-5833. |
